What are the iECG Application Features?

When you open the app you will see the main ECG list first, from here you have access to 30 different ECG rhythms.

Once you select a rhythm, it will open to the main detail page. (See Screen Shot #2). At the top of this page you will see a short version of the rhythm. (Don’t worry, there is a bigger version of this rhythm a little deeper in the app). On the short version of the ECG, we have included markings to help you identify key characteristics of the rhythm.

Below the image is the ECG description, use you finger to slide the description up and down.

In the upper right corner is the “DETAILS” link, tap here to see the details page.

On the Details page you will see the ECG breakdown chart listing…

QRS Complexes…

Now for the best part…

In the right upper corner of the “Details” page is the “RHYTHM” link, tap here and you are taken to a full size view of the ECG.

The full size rhythms are designed to be viewed in landscape orientation, to take full advantage of the iPhone’s screen size.

Pros and cons of iECG app for iPhone and iPad

iECG app good for

If you are looking for an ECG App, this one is well worth the money. It has a clean look, lots of rhythms, and visual hints to show you how to identify each rhythm. I also love that the screen does not get all screwed up when I move my phone around.
Very easy to use and all the important info is there. Thanks for making this app available!
I love this app! Straightforward, written with very clear and direct language. The rhythm strips and descriptions are incredibly helpful for someone like me who is very new to all this. Easier to understand than a lead II manual.

Some bad moments

Provides rules and examples of several rhythms. No interactive or quiz like capability to help you learn. Basically these are electronic flash cards. Overpriced for what you get.
I am a medical professional. This app is for a medical student. It is not what I expected. I read articles about how iECG can diagnose heart arrhythmias with the new iPhone technology. This app doesnt do anything! It is a big waste of money. You can find this basic information in a text book. I was EXTREMELY disappointed when I opened it!
